FLORHAM PARK, NJ, December 9, 2009 -- BASF, the world's largest chemical company, today introduced a complete and organized guide to the application of its residential spray polyurethane foam, a first in the industry.

According to Mike Sievers, Marketing Manager for BASF Polyurethane Foam Enterprises, applicators spend valuable time searching for answers to questions about spray foam. The Residential Foam Toolkit puts valuable answers and information right in the hands of the applicator.

"BASF is the first manufacturer to create this level of guidance and tools for its contractors in order to ensure safe and professional applications," said Sievers. "We are also helping our customers become more proficient and profitable when installing and selling BASF spray foam insulation materials."

    The Residential Foam Toolkit includes:
  • Applications - Foam and Coating Application Guidelines, Specifications, Details, Drawings, Equipment, and Training

  • Codes and Compliance - Building Codes, Specific Sections Related to SPF Applications, Working with Code Officials, How To Find Answers
