Product Highlights
  • ENERTITE®

ENERTITE® is a low-density, open-cell spray polyurethane foam (SPF) insulation that provides air sealing, sound absorption and thermal insulation, allowing you to better control your indoor environment and create more energy efficient, comfortable and healthier homes and buildings. Applied as a liquid, this water-blown foam quickly expands to many times its original size, completely filling wall and roof cavities.  ENERTITE® easily seals difficult-to-reach areas such as corners and around pipes and wiring to create a seamless seal against air movement.

  • WALLTITE®

WALLTITE® is a closed-cell spray polyurethane foam (SPF) insulation that creates a seamless, insulating air barrier to improve the energy efficiency, comfort and durability of homes and buildings.  Spray applied as a liquid, WALLTITE flows in and around difficult to reach areas, creating a airtight seal.

  • SKYTITE®

SKYTITE® high-performance roofing systems provide seamless, leak-free protection from the elements with some of the highest wind uplift and hail resistance ratings in the industry. Spray-applied, the exterior low-slope roofing systems are self-flashing and easily conform to unusual shapes. SKYTITE can be applied to existing substrates, eliminating the need to costly tear-offs and reducing waste in landfills.

Spray polyurethane foam (SPF) can be used in applications from the ground up. Learn about the types of residential spray foam applications and their benefits.

Product Spotlight: ENERTITE® Open-Cell SPF Insulation

High-Performance Spray Foam for Energy-Efficient High Density Dwellings

Project Overview - Multi-Family Homes in Southern Arizona

Two multi-family developers in the Tucson, Arizona area faced distinct construction challenges—each requiring a high-performance insulation system that could address thermal control, air sealing, and long-term durability. In both cases, they chose ENERTITE® open-cell spray polyurethane foam (SPF) for its superior performance, sustainability credentials, and reliable installation. In total 572 units were constructed using this design for simplified code compliance and condensation control.

Why ENERTITE for Multi-Family Construction?

ENERTITE® open-cell spray foam offers:

  • Reliable thermal performance (R-value 3.7–4.0 per inch)
  • Excellent air sealing and moisture control
  • Superior sound control and noise absorption
  • GREENGUARD Gold certified for low chemical emissions
  • UL-validated for mold resistance, low VOCs, and bio-based content
  • ENERGY STAR® certified for energy-efficient construction
  • Hourly-rated UL 263 fire resistance
  • STC ratings of 57–59 in floor/ceiling and wall assemblies

With its water-based formulation and low global warming potential, ENERTITE® delivers environmental responsibility without compromising performance.

Project 1: 272-Unit Community in Marana, AZ

Challenge:
Roof damage caused by moisture and condensation was a recurring issue in prior builds insulated with conventional materials.

Solution:
ENERTITE® was sprayed under the flat roof deck over the 2x4 top cord of open-web trusses. This application provided continuous R-17 insulation—exceeding the R-5 minimum requirement in Climate Zone 2 (per 2018 IRC Table R806.5)—while eliminating air gaps that cause condensation and degradation.

Project 2: 300-Unit Development in Tucson, AZ

Challenge:
The originally specified polyiso board faced long lead times, threatening to delay construction.

Solution:
ENERTITE® was approved by the local building authority as a substitute for R-38 fiberglass batts. Combined with a 1” polyiso layer on the exterior, ENERTITE® provided R-22 continuous insulation under the roof deck, meeting Performance Path compliance for both thermal efficiency and moisture control.

Proven Results

By selecting ENERTITE® spray foam, both projects gained:

  • Faster installation and reduced construction delays
  • Improved long-term energy performance
  • Enhanced occupant comfort and indoor air quality
  • Lower maintenance risks from moisture-related damage
